
Carsten Höller: Decision invites visitors to take part in a variety of physical experiences. Due to the physical and experimental nature of the show there are a few guidelines we would like to make you aware of.
- Each ticket is valid for one entrance to the exhibition and there is no re-entry.
- Please make sure you have fully explored the exhibition before you exit via the Isomeric Slides.
- If you intend to exit via the Isomeric Slides, please leave all bags, coats and loose items in the free cloakroom or lockers provided.
- During busier periods visitors may be required to queue in order to enter some installations.
- Minimum height for Isomeric Slides is 120cm/4ft.
- Minimum height for Two Flying Machines is 150cm/4ft 11in and minimum age is 14.
- Maximum weight for Two Flying Machines is 100kg/15st 11lbs.
- The main entrance to the exhibition contains sections of dark confined space. If you are claustrophobic or suffer from claustrophobic tendencies, an alternative entrance is available. Please speak to a member of staff in the foyer for more information.
- Please do not use the interactive installations if you do not feel confident to do so or if you have an existing condition which might be exacerbated or expose you to harm.
Hayward Gallery Accessibility
- Certain interactive installations and the entrance to the exhibition are not accessible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
Children and Families
- Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult for general entry to the exhibition.
- For all interactive installations children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- The entrance to the exhibition is not accessible for pushchairs. An alternative entrance is available; please speak to a member of staff in the foyer for more information.
- There is pushchair storage and a limited number of baby hip seats are available to loan. Pushchairs are left at your own risk.
General admission and ticketing
- Last entry to exhibition is 30 minutes prior to closing time. However, we recommend you allow longer in order to make the most of your visit.
- During busier periods visitors may be required to queue in order to enter some installations.
- Last entry to queues for interactive installations will be approximately 1 hour prior to closing time. We are unable to guarantee entry to these installations during busy periods.
- Tickets are sold in hourly slots. Advance booking is recommended.
- Booking fees apply to advance tickets booked both online (£1.75 per transaction) and over the phone (£2.75 per transaction). Advance, online and telephone tickets must be booked at least 24 hours prior to visit.
- A limited number of tickets are available to purchase at the gallery on day of visit. You are advised to arrive at the Hayward Gallery at least 30 minutes before opening for the best chance of purchasing a ticket. Please note tickets bought on the day may not be for immediate entry to the exhibition, but for later on that day.
- Any ticket re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain without written permission from Southbank Centre will become void and the holder may be refused entry or ejected from the venue. Any customer unsure of the legitimacy of a website should contact us before purchasing their tickets.
Members' and Supporters Circles' Ticket Allocation:-
- Full Members - 1 ticket for named member only
- Dual Member (with named guest) - 1 ticket plus relevant named guest
- Dual Member (with un-named guest) - 1 ticket plus one guest
- Supporters Circles - 1 ticket plus up to 3 guests
- Due to the restricted capacity of the first part of the exhibition, visitors are advised that queues may be likely prior to entering. The queues will also apply to visitors with pre booked tickets.
